Academics

Baptist Institute of America and Seminary is dedicated to excellence in educating men and women to 
serve God in a local church context.

Academic programs are rigorous and challenging with a devotional heart imparted from godly, servant instructors. 

Undergraduate students complete a general education core comparable to most excellent institutions of 
higher learning. Integrated with the biblical and theological studies are courses in the humanities, the 
social sciences and the natural sciences. These general education courses provide students with 
knowledge of cultural and academic resources for more skillful and effective Christian ministry. 

All four-year programs include a Bible major because of our steadfast belief that nothing prepares people 
to serve God better than a full understanding of His Word.

Students may choose from several professional vocations designed to fulfill God’s work around the globe. Degrees are offered
in pastoral studies, missions, youth ministries and local church studies.

Students are taught by credentialed faculty with years of experience in their fields. All programs include a 
practicum so that students can apply theoretical instruction to meaningful and practical real-world experience necessary to skillful service.
